IT FEELS SCARY SOMETIMES

Every year many lives are lost and injuries caused by fires which are deliberately started. This is called arson. Arson is a serious offence and is always dealt with by the police and the courts. You can even be sent to prison from the age of 10 for it.

Last year, more than 438 fires were started deliberately in Shropshire. Costing millions of pounds in damage.

Setting fire to cars that have been abandoned on the side of the road is on the increase. In Telford & Wrekin, incidents are 20% above the national average. It's something that is extremely dangerous to do.
