experimenting with alcohol
Experimenting with alcohol picture.

We know young people will experiment, what we want to do is to explain what will happen.
Alcohol is powerful.  It could cause you to giggle, give you headaches, make you vomit, or make you violent.

Know your limits -

It isn’t much fun when you lose control of your body or don’t know what’s happening around you.

Ask yourself -

Why do people become unsteady after ‘a drink’?
What is a ‘hangover’?

Effects

Alcohol effects all parts of the body and will have an adverse affect on your performance, what ever you are doing.

Facts

Alcopops are very strong - the alcohol content is masked by a ‘mixer’ making them appear soft. If you drink 3 pints of lager with a volume of 5.2%, Stella Artois for example, it will take 9 hours plus the initial hour absorption time to have left your system.  If you have a meal before drinking, absorption will be delayed. Excessive drinking can cause lasting health damage. It is illegal to sell alcohol to anyone under the age of 18 or any adult acting on their behalf.
